Is It Time To Digitize Your Hearing?

It's estimated that over 30 million Americans experience some degree of hearing loss. For some, their hearing loss may not be major enough to cause any serious obstacles with communication, except for the occasional “Huh?". For others however, their loss of hearing causes a considerable amount of interference with their daily conversational abilities. Difficulty understanding conversation, problems hearing favorite television programs, or even trouble understanding the speaker at a convention can all be very aggravating.

If you are one of the millions with hearing loss who are in need of hearing help, it may be time to “Digitize your Hearing!"

I can assure you that you know of at least five people who wear or have worn hearing aids that are unsatisfied. They complain that their hearing aids pick up too much background noise, that they whistle all the time or that they are just generally uncomfortable. If this is the case, then they are probably not wearing one of today's advanced digital hearing aids.

Within the last five years, there has been an explosion in research and development in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) which is the brain of digital hearing aids. Today's models are highly intelligent and offer more features than ever before to prevent the common complaints of past hearing aid wearers.Features such as:

  • Digital Noise Reduction - Helps in reducing the frustration of background noise and improves speech recognition.
  • Digital Speech Enhancement - Focuses on speech segments that are critical for communication even in noisy settings.
  • Digital Feedback Reduction - Monitors and reduces the amount of feedback and whistling.

Now, more than ever before, people using digital hearing aid technology are happy and deeply satisfied about their decision to switch to digital. If you are currently not happy about your current hearing situation, I strongly encourage you to consider “Digitizing your Hearing."
