Taking Your Health for Granted?
TAKING YOUR HEALTH & WEALTH FOR GRANTED? FIVE QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF
It's been said that health is the most enjoyed…but the least envied …of all our blessings. We do have a tendency to take our health for granted, don't we? Will you be one of the many Americans each year who suffer financial ruin because of illness or injury? For most of us, it's not a question of if our health is going to change, but when. Consider these questions:
- If I had a major illness or injury is my health insurance adequate? How much would I have to pay?
- Am I eligible for a tax deductible Health Savings Account?
- If I am disabled, how would I pay my bills? Should I purchase a disability policy while I am still eligible?
- What choices do I have for Long Term Care when I can't take care of myself? Can I afford $3000-$5000 per month to pay for my care or should I purchase a Long Term Care insurance policy?
If you are uncomfortable with your answers, consult a health insurance professional. Recovery from a major illness or injury should not be complicated by financial stress brought on by lack of a health insurance plan.
